Former Olympian Caitlyn Jenner announced Friday she will run to replace Gov. Gavin Newsom in the recall election. The effort to recall Newsom is expected to qualify for the ballot soon, with an election in the fall.
That's Right! Caitlyn Jenner is running for governor of California. Jenner who has been publicly a longtime Republican, is seeking to replace Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom in a recall election.
Jenner publicly voiced support for Trump until 2018 until he rolled back federal guidelines allowing transgender students to use bathrooms of their choice. "My hope in him ... was misplaced," Caitlyn later stated.
If a recall formally qualifies for the ballot, voters will be asked two questions: The first would be whether they want to recall Newsom, and the second would be who should replace him. There is no limit to how many people can run, and whoever gets the most votes wins.
